UCL Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS) is an academic unit for research and teaching in history of science, philosophy of science, science policy, and science communication. STS is part of UCL Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MAPS), which is part of UCL School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Mathematical and Physical Sciences (BEAMS). Science and Technology Studies is a well established, international academic discipline. We include as "science and technology" all subjects falling under the broad category of STEMM.
The Department offers up to three scholarships for our postgraduate taught programmes.
Value: full UK fees, normally up to two studentships available
Only applicants accepted for entry onto post-graduate taught programmes within the STS department are eligible to apply. This includes those accepted onto the degree, diploma, and certificate programmes.
The primary criteria for the panel's decision will be: evidence of outstanding academic potential, evidence of likely difference-making for the programme, and potential for contributing to the intellectual and cultural life of the department.
Persons accepted into the programme who wish to be considered for an STS Aristotle scholarship should complete the application form and submit it to our MSc Admissions team.
Only successful recipients will be notified, and these notifications will be made by the end of July. If you do not hear from us by the end of July then sadly your scholarship application was unsuccessful.
